艾格尼丝 Scott offers a wide variety of co-curricular activities, 无论是校内还是校外, that focus on global citizenship and global learning. Our signature programs and upcoming 事件 include:

Think Live Engage (TLE)

This signature program is an intergroup dialogue series that interweaves themes of global citizenship, 社会正义, 和宣传. 该课程在春季学期进行.

Sponsored by the President’s Committee for Community Diversity and funded in part by the Liz Chandler Memorial Fund, TLE is an exciting opportunity for 艾格尼丝 Scott students, 教师 and staff to explore our intercultural connections and needs. The dialogues are designed to offer individuals strategic ways to engage in discussions related to a diverse range of topics connected with social identities (e.g., gender, class, faith, politics, sexuality, race, etc.). Participants are asked to commit to the program for four weeks.

Diversifest周

Diversifest is a cultural celebration hosted by the Coalition of Student Multicultural Organizations (COSMO). 每年 COSMO groups come together to sponsor a week of programs, 事件, and opportunities to celebrate the intersections of cultural identity represented within the ASC Community. COSMO groups partner with the Center for Global Diversity and Inclusion to bridge programs and facilitate collaborations amongst student groups and campus community partners to develop vibrant and inclusive opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Girls Summit is an annual program co-sponsored with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights’ Women and Girl’s Collaborative Committee and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office on Women's Health. 年轻女孩, 年龄从11岁到18岁不等, are invited to participate in a day conference hosted by 正规博彩十大网站排名学院.  社区合作伙伴, local organizations and 正规博彩十大网站排名学院 教师 and staff facilitate sessions on women’s and girls’ issues. 导师步行大学浸入日 is a program co-sponsored by the Campus Community 合作伙伴hip Foundation. 中等的学生, 年龄从11-17岁不等, experience a series of programs focused on the importance of higher 教育. Scotties volunteer to discuss their college experiences, share their journeys as globally- competent leaders, 变革推动者, 社区建设者, and encourage the visiting students to aspire to greatness- to become their best selves. Mentor Walk allows for students to engage in conversation around 教育, 与同行导师和领导者建立联系, and reflect on their experiences in order to articulate their goals. 

马丁·路德·金. and Coretta Scott King Commemorative Week of Human Rights and Social Justice

马丁·路德·金. and Coretta Scott King Commemorative Week of Human Rights and Social Justice is sponsored by the MLK Convocation subcommittee of the President’s Committee on Community Diversity. This weeklong series of programs and 事件 commemorates the lives of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, and continues the dialogue around 社会正义 and community change. 学生参加工作坊, 由受邀嘉宾主持的会议, and dialogue centered on global and local challenges as well as ways we can ignite change.

Gay Johnson McDougall Symposium on Race, Justice, and Reconciliation

The inaugural Gay Johnson McDougall Symposium on Race, Justice and Reconciliation featured a series of programs that explored the historical origins and contemporary realities of global racial oppression and strategies for justice and reconciliation in Spring 2014. This signature event occurs over the course of three days and provides participants opportunities to discuss the intersections of –isms and develop the skills necessary to lay the groundwork for effective social change.​

假日研讨会

The Center for Global Diversity and Inclusion partners with a number of campus members to host a series of workshops that honor cultural celebrations around the world. 学生, 教师, and staff are invited to our Kwanzaa Workshop, 光明节研讨会, 特雷斯雷耶斯工作室, and Yule Workshop to discuss traditions around the world and how different cultures celebrate these holidays/observances.

拉丁裔UNIDAS, 写作和口语中心, and the Center for Global Diversity and Inclusion partner each year to celebrate Latino/a Heritage Month. Campus members are invited to enjoy original work and that of Latino/a artists, 诗人, 作者, 积极分子, 和名人. Participants are encouraged to read their own work or that of texts that are made available.

信仰与学习讲座

每年, the College Committee on Faith and Learning sponsors a number of religious dialogue 事件, supporting the college’s belief in academic freedom, 多元化和多样性.

Other co-curricular programs hosted by 艾格尼丝 Scott include a series of speakers throughout the year who lecture and lead dialogue on power, 特权, 社区问题, 身份发展和代理.

Other programming includes Safe Zone Training, Trans 101培训, Appreciating Global Diversity workshop and cultural heritage month 事件.
